World Water Day

Yesterday, march 22th. 2011 was "world water day".

Many "world water day"'s events are held in many places in Thailand, for awareness of the importance of water resources, because Thailand is an agricultural country and most important crop is rice.

King Ramkhamhaeng's statue, "In the water there are fish, in the field there is rice", describes the fertility of Thailand. But now, almost every year, natural disasters happen in many provinces and many people were killed and their rice fields were also destroyed due to floods....

Now, because of disaster in Japan, millions still lack drinking water supplies, too. So we should be aware of the importance of water and try to save it, even our water doesn't reach Japan....
